National District Export Council Steering Committee Elects Bridge360 CEO Brenda Hall as Secretary

Brenda Hall, CEO of Bridge360 and international business leader, was recently elected as the Secretary of the National Steering Committee of the U.S. District Export Council and to serve as Electronic Communications Committee Chair.

Austin, TX, December 2, 2009 - The United States District Export Council (DEC) recently named Austin international business leader Brenda Hall, CEO of Bridge360, to its National Steering Committee, at its annual conference in Washington, DC.

The mission of the District Export Councils is to contribute leadership and international trade expertise to complement the U.S. Commercial Service's export promotion efforts through counseling businesses on the exporting process and conducting trade education and community outreach. The National Steering Committee, together with the regional DEC executive committees, government leaders, and international trade experts work with the membership to create an annual strategic plan to build consensus on important legislative issues that involve all members in mission fulfillment.

Ms. Hall is recognized for her expertise in international business throughout Texas and the U.S. She is a past Chairman for the Camino Real District Export Council for the State of Texas and past chair of the International Center of Austin. Her position as secretary provides the opportunity to provide direction on behalf of the DEC on current and critical trade issues, such as Business Visa Reform, Intellectual Property Protection, expanding trade, and promoting American exports. "I welcome the opportunity to help shape the DEC’s technology initiatives," says Hall, "Today's global economy defines our mission and requires new solutions to accelerate the communications between the Dept. of Commerce, US Export Assistance Centers, and regional DECs."

Hall is a frequent speaker on international business, especially focused on taking software into international markets including China.
